Acrylic is the most ordered award material in Pakistan, and for good reason: it is the only one that takes a full-colour logo cleanly, it does not chip the way glass does, and it is the cheapest way to get a professional-looking presentation piece.

Thickness is what you are paying for

Acrylic shields come in 6mm, 8mm, 12mm and 25mm. A 6mm shield is light and fine for a school prize; at 12mm and 25mm the piece has noticeable weight and a visible polished edge, which is what you want when it is being handed over in front of a room. Prices track the thickness — from Rs 2,000 for a standard 5x7 or 6x8 shield up to Rs 14,999 for a 25mm award.

Printed, engraved, or both

UV printing puts your logo on in full colour exactly as supplied. Engraving cuts into the acrylic for a frosted effect that suits single-colour or text-only designs. Many shields combine the two — a printed logo with an engraved name plate, or a gold or silver metal plate fixed to the front.
